33 1/3 Ways to Sleep Standing, Collaboration work by Erik Jerezano and Patrick McCue
Opening reception on Saturday, October 4th (noon to 4 pm)
Exhibition runs from October 2 to 12, 2014

Erik Jerezano and Patrick McCue have been working together since 2011. All images are drawn by both artists, with each trusting the other to finish or augment the work. Their collaborations begin as spontaneous reactions first to the empty pages, and later to the other’s contributions, leading up to the layering and printing of the final edition.

Their prints have been shown in three international print exhibitions, including the Ottawa School of Art 5th International Miniature Print Biennale where their piece “Renovating Heaven” was awarded a purchase prize for screen-printing.

33 1/3 Ways to Sleep Standing is the first solo exhibition of their collaborative work. Exhibiting work from each of the three series they have completed. Avid music fans, their latest series is a collection of album covers for records not yet composed or recorded.

Erik is a self-taught artist from Mexico who has lived in Toronto for 13 years. Patrick grew up in Toronto, studied drawing and printmaking at OCAD.
